Second Trainings
This set of “Original” 30 Second Trainings were developed by 30 second Training Experts Toni Costales-Servin, Round 1 Navigator, California and Kevin Nickerson, Round 1 Navigator New York. The purpose of the 30-Second Trainings is that they are designed to be short, easy and fun, they are not designed to be a test but rather to increase knowledge of disability and employment related issues, they should only take about 30 seconds to review and that they Include national, reputable resources for follow up information.
- Mental Health 30 Second Trainings
This set of “Mental Health” trainings was developed by the “30 Second Training Work Group” led by Miranda Kennedy, NDI Consulting Inc., Kevin Nickerson, 30 Second Training Expert, Navigator, New York and Toni Costales-Servin, 30 Second Training Expert, Navigator, California. Second Trainings
This 5 - Part Series of 30-Second Trainings has been developed for Disability Program Navigators to use with staff and partners and employers in their Local Workforce Investment Areas to promote and increase awareness of the benefits and resources available to employers hiring and accommodating qualified job applicants and employees with disabilities. This training series can be used to augment other local level activities in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (October), or can be used as stand-alone. - Asset Development 30 Second Trainings
This series was designed to increase awareness of the many available Asset Development Strategies and resources that exist to promote and support increased self-sufficiency and financial stability among individuals with low-incomes, including individuals with disabilities. This series was created by: Miranda Kennedy, NDI Consulting Inc., Kevin Nickerson, DPN, NY State, Laura Gleneck, NDI Consulting Inc. and DJ Diamond, NDI Consulting Inc. - DPN Promising Practices 30-Second Trainings
This set of “DPN Promising Practices” trainings was developed by the NDI Technical Assistance team to share information about a particular promising practice and where you can find more information about it. In addition to highlighting the great work of Navigators, the strategies, information and resources from these DPN Promising Practices 30-Second trainings can help you in your daily work and be very beneficial for Navigators to share with One-Stop staff and partners to illustrate the impact of the DPN initiative. - Employer 30-Second Training Series
The Employer 30-Second Training Series and Employer Resource Guide were developed with an employer focus and were designed to educate employers, hiring managers and supervisors about proven strategies and easy-to-use resources that can assist in retaining and accommodating existing employees who experience the onset of a disability. These tools (e.g. 30-Second Trainings & Resource Guide) will also provide valuable information and sources of support to employers in hiring qualified employees who experience a disability, including strategies and resources that can assist in effectively accommodating all employees in achieving their maximum potential and productivity level. - One-Stop Access 30 Second Trainings Series
The One-Stop Access 30-Second Trainings Series was developed for Navigators to share with their One-Stop staff and partners in order to promote physical, programmatic and communication access in the One-Stop Career Center.
