Part I: An Overview of the Job Accommodation Network
September 17, 2008, 3pm - 4:30pm EDT
The first webinar in this series, which was hosted by Miranda Kennedy with NDI Consulting, Inc. and presented by guest experts Kendra Duckworth and Eddie Whidden from the Job Accommodation Network, covered basic information on the services and resources that the Job Accommodation Network provides. JAN is a free consulting service designed to increase the employability of people with disabilities by:
- providing individualized worksite accommodations solutions,
- providing technical assistance regarding the ADA and other disability related legislation, and
- educating callers about self-employment options.

Part II: An In Depth Exploration of the Job Accommodation Network
September 22, 2008, 3pm - 4:30pm EDT
The second webinar, which was hosted by Miranda Kennedy with NDI Consulting, Inc. and presented by guest experts Kendra Duckworth and Eddie Whidden from the Job Accommodation Network, covered the 5 steps of the accommodation process. The guest presenters from JAN shared situations and solutions using real life examples of training and employment related accommodations provided to students, job seekers, and employees with disabilities. This training will assist new and continuing Disability Program Navigators to more effectively utilize the resources and services provided by the Job Accommodation Network as they work to increase the disability and employment related expertise and problem-solving abilities of their One-Stop Career Center staff, partners and business community.
