Disability Program Navigator: Training ; 2010 : Asset Development 2-Part Series and 30 Second Trainings

and February 4, 2010 and again on February 16, 2010 and February 18, 2010 the NDI
TA
Team hosted a two-part series on Asset Development for People with Disabilities. This series was designed to increase the Navigator’s awareness of the many available Asset Development strategies and resources that exist to promote and support increased self-sufficiency and financial stability among individuals with low-incomes, including individuals with disabilities.
This training was supplemented by a series of twenty 30 Second Trainings that Navigators can disseminate on the topic of Asset Development. These Asset Development 30-Second Trainings are geared towards individuals with disabilities and begin by providing information around basic financial literacy concepts and as the series progresses it provides more advanced information on resources such as the Real Economic Impact Tour and Individual Development Accounts (IDAs).
